Using the Instagram App for Android

1Launch the Instagram app. It’s the purple, pink, and orange icon with a white camera inside. Log in to your account, if you haven't already done so.

2Open your profile tab. Tap on your profile icon, at the lower right corner of the app to open the profile tab.Advertisement

3Tap on the ≡ menu. This will be located at the top-right corner of the app.

4Select Settings from the menu panel. It's the last option on the list. This will open the “Settings” tab.

5Tap on the Security option. You will see this option under the “Privacy” settings.

6Move to the “Data and History” title. Tap on the Access Data option and wait for the page to finish loading.

7Scroll down to the “Connections” title. Tap the View All link next to the “Current follow requests” option.

8Finished. You can now see the list of people you have requested to follow. If you want to cancel a follow request, copy the username from the list and search for the user on Instagram. Unfollow the user to cancel the pending request.

1Log in to Instagram. Open www.instagram.com in your web browser and log in with your account.

2Open the “Settings” page. Click on your profile icon, at the top right side of the page and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

3Move to Privacy and Security settings. It's located between “Manage Contacts” and “Login Activity” options.

4Scroll down to the “Account Data” header. Click on the View Account Data link, next to the “Account Data” title.

5Move to the “Connections” section. Click on the View All link next to the “Current follow requests” option.

6Finished. You will see the usernames of people you have requested to follow. You can quickly access this page by going to www.instagram.com/accounts/access_tool/current_follow_requests.

QuestionIs there a way to disable follow requests for my account?Community AnswerNo. If your account is set to private, there's no way to disable follow requests. You could change your username to something very different and use a non-identifying profile picture if you don't want anyone searching for you.
