- If you are a child, ask your parent or guardian before creating an account.

- Your favourite colour
- Your hobbies
- Your pet
- Your favourite kind of music

3Start making your first skin. You can attempt a shaded skin or an unshaded skin, but if you're only a beginner, you can start small. To make a skin, click the Editor icon near the top of the screen. You will be presented with a blank canvas of a skin. Then all you need to do is to go to the colour wheel and choose your base colour, then click on the pixels you want to put that colour on. Try making a simple skin at first, then you can work up to being even better.

Part 2 of 3:
Getting Better
-
1Practice making skins. Try making a skin every day so you get better as time goes by. This way you will get likes too!
-
2Enter a contest. There are re-shade contests where you have to shade a skin if you know how, and you can also make your own contest! Just make an unshaded skin and ask people if they want to enter. You will most likely make friends this way too.
-
3Talk to people. Comment on skins you like and tell people how much you love their work! This is another great way to make friends.
-
4Try a challenge. There are events like Skintober and Skinmas where you make a prompt list with a inspiring word for each day of the month. Then when each day hits, you make a skin with the prompt for that day.
- If you're stuck, put "Skintober Prompts" in the search bar. You'll get some great lists to inspire you.

Part 3 of 3:
Staying Popular
-
1Keep posting. Upload skins whenever possible to keep a record of great art.
- Don't stress over this. Realise that not everyone can be the best.
-
2Keep making friends. People will see your kind messages and realise that you're a great person.
-
3Welcome new people to the website. Ask people if they need any tips or if they want to be friends with you.
-
4Collaborate with other users. You can do a "skin collab" with somebody, where one of you makes the head, then the other makes the arms, then you carry on creating parts of the skin. You can also do a "skin trade", which is where each of you recreate one of each other's skins in your own style.
-
5Don't worry about losing popularity. There are plenty more sites on the internet where you can express yourself and make friends. Popularity isn't everything.
