-
3Place about 3 inches (7.6 cm) of oil in large pot and heat to 375 degrees.[1]
-
4Remove individual ribs from rack with a sharp knife.
-
5Lightly dredge ribs through flour mixture 2 or 3 at a time and place in deep fryer.[2]
-
6Do not place more than 4 ribs in your pot at a time; you want them to become very crispy. Too many at a time will cause them to steam.[3]
-
7Fry about 2 to 3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
-
8Remove from oil and drain on wire rack.
-
9Serve with your favorite sauce.[4]

Community Q&A
-
QuestionDo I have to use peanut oil?Community AnswerNo. Any frying oil or fat (like vegetable oil or lard) will work. Peanut oil just has a high smoke point.
-

-
QuestionI have big bone spareribs. How long do I cook them?Community AnswerBroil until the sugar in the dry rub is bubbling and the ribs are evenly browned, about 5 minutes. Bake the ribs. Set the oven to 300°F. Move the ribs to an oven rack in the middle of the oven. Bake 2 1/2 to 3 hours for spareribs, or 1 1/2 to 2 hours for baby back ribs.
