The Playstation 2 is a great console, but its controller has a problem: the analogue sticks. You can perform a simple test to see if the sticks are repairable. See Step 1 below to find out how.
Steps
-
1While the game is active, push in both sticks (thus pressing R3 and L3).
-
2While sticks are pressed down, wiggle both sticks in a circular motion for about 5 seconds.Advertisement
-
3Your game should resume as normal. If the character was moving when you were not touching the controller, this should fix the problem. Just repeat steps 1 & 2 while on title screen (press
START). -
4Check it in your PS2 manual! Every time you start PS2, move analog in a circular motion 1 time, and then your stick will not move itself.
