Base the name around what the pet acts like

Think of things that link to the pets personality, looks and hobbies. What colour are they? What kind of things do they like? Keep these things in your mind, some pets may not suit a name because of the species, for example you wouldn’t call a cat Bone.

If you find a nice sounding name for a shade of the colour of your choosing, you could give it to your LPS as their name. Google some other shades of colours.

Use a human name for your LPS. Names such as Rachel or Kristine for girls, and Luke and Ray for boys. You could also use unisex names like Reece, Alex and Jess.

Research possibilities online. Websites like 2000 Names or Baby Names may help. They have huge lists of names for you to use, male and female. They even have names from different countries.

Think about where your pet is from. Maybe it's from Japan or maybe even Italy? Look up names from the country you choose. Sometimes they lost meanings as well, so keep meanings in mind as well. Don't have a tough husky having a name meaning 'flower' or 'beauty', for example.
