Cool people are more likely to get popular, especially in school. Ever wanted to be the coolest, prettiest girl in your sixth or seventh-grade class? If so, this is the how-to for you!
Steps
-
1Shower daily. Shower daily and use a nice smelling body wash if you like. Be sure to wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner for your hair type every other day. If your hair is always dry and dull, use a deep conditioner once a week and give a leave-in detangler a try, if your hair is really knotty.
-
2Use deodorant. Find a nice scent you like, such as vanilla or strawberry, and use it every day. Deodorant is important so you don't smell like sweat. Some good brands are Dove, Degree, and Lady Speed Stick.Advertisement

3Moisturize. A healthy skin can lift your mood and appearance a lot. Dry and rough skin can make you look unpleasant. Moisturize your skin after bath with a product that is made for your skin type. E.g., Use an almond based or gel based moisturiser if your skin needs conditioning and moisture. Don't use such products if your skin is oily or if you have pimples.
-
4Shave. Shave your legs and armpits, and if you have dark hair, possibly your forearms. If you're comfortable, shave your bikini line, but it's not a necessity. Don't start shaving anywhere because someone else thinks you should. Lots of 12-year-old girls do not have unsightly body hair. Many girls can be cool, stylish, and beautiful without shaving. Only shave if you would like to be groomed to that extend.
-
5Wear nice clothes. Wear clothes that sets you free and not those that keeps you worried about being tight or skimpy. Try out various sizes and items and go with whatever feels comfortable and beautiful. Make sure they fit properly- nothing too low cut or ill-fitting. Your pants should fit snugly, if they don't, wear a belt. Nothing is less attractive than yanking at your pants or rolling them up.
- Try to wear various fabrics like cotton, denim, elasticated fabric etc.
- Try different neck lines and sleeve lengths per your style.
- Give various colours a try till you know which colour combination works well for you. Don't try to dress like someone else. It may not do your style and looks any justice.
-
6Wash your face. Wash it with a nice face wash (not an acne wash unless you have acne) wash twice a day, then use toner, face lotion, and any acne treatments or special creams you wish. Do not skip this step!
-
7Don't wear too much makeup. There is no need for heavy foundations, blushes, or eyeshadows. If you really think you need it, some BB cream or concealer, some lip balm / gloss, and a touch of mascara will do it. You also might consider plucking your eyebrow or curling your eyelashes. Don't put on any make-up just because this article says you should. Only wear makeup if you want to; avoid doing it just because of peer pressure or to fit in and "look cool".
-
8Eat healthy and go to bed on time. Go to bed early enough that you can get up on time in the morning without feeling too tired.
-
9Be nice. Be polite and courteous to everyone, showing respect for other people. This is equally applicable to your enemies or the people no one seems to talk to. Have close friends you genuinely like and feel comfortable around and be close with them: entrust them with your secrets and invite them to sleepovers and parties.
-
10Don't feel like you have to have a boyfriend. Although lots of girls this age may like someone, it's not really "dating". It is just a crush. Some may normally hold hands and maybe go see a movie. In extreme cases, they might kiss but don't let this pressure you! Try to smile and listen to your boyfriends. They may become good friends if you look beyond all the romcom movies.
-
11Be nice to your parents and siblings. After all, they love you!
