"Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day" (or, "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai") is 2011 anime series, written by Mari Okada. It also has a manga serialization and a movie.
Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (あの日見た花の名前を僕達はまだ知らない。 / Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.; abbr. Ano Hana) is a 2011 anime series written by Mari Okada and directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai. The story follows a group of childhood friends who have drifted apart over the years after an incident in which their friend, Meiko "Menma" Honma, died in an accident.
The 11-episode anime TV series, produced by A-1 Pictures, aired in spring 2011. The manga written by Mari Okada started serialization in May 2012. A movie debuted in 2013.
