Steps

1Open the Reddit app. It's the orange app with a white cartoon alien in the center.
- If you don't have the Reddit app you can download it from the App Store and sign in with your Reddit username and password.

2Start a new text post or comment. Go to the post you want to comment on or you can start a new text post:
- Tap Post something interesting.
- Tap TEXT.
- Tap Share your thoughts and type a title.
- Tap Describe in more detail to select the body of the post.

3Type your post. Start typing the message you want to post either in the new comment or in the body of the new text post you created.

4Place two asterisks (**) before and after the words you want to embolden. For example, if you wanted the word bold in the sentence "This is bold." to be in bold, you would type the sentence as This is **bold**.. In the finished post, it would read: This is bold.

5Tap POST. This posts your message displays your finished post with the properly formatted words appearing in bold.
