Forget diamonds, a purse is a girl's best friend. A purse goes with you everywhere. Whether it's a cute and compact clutch or a chic shoulder tote, you'll need it to carry all of the things that will get you through the day in style.
Steps
-
1Pack your wallet. Choose a wallet that has enough pockets for your bank card, credit cards, etc. Make sure the wallet also fits into your purse. Also, keep an identification in your wallet in case the wallet is lost or stolen.
-
2Pack any makeup that you use daily for quick fixes. Also pack a mirror, hair bands, bobby pins, small hairbrush or comb, and a nail file.Advertisement
-
3Have tampons or sanitary pads in your purse. You don't want to be surprised and unprepared, and you may need to lend supplies to someone else. Some emergency Advil, Tylenol or other Ibuprofen type medication can be useful, too.
-
4Pack your cell phone, and a charger if needed. You can also purchase extra batteries and keep them charged so they can be switched throughout the day.
-
5Have your keys with you, even if you don't think you will use them. It's better to have them and not use them than to be locked out of the house or having to call for help.
-
6Have a pen and a notepad, these are very helpful. You may need to write down a phone number, a schedule change, or an important reminder.
-
7Be sure to pack tissues. A runny nose can be a pain (not to mention embarrassing!) And you may visit a poorly equipped public facility.
-
8Have an emergency cash. A $10 bill and several quarters (or the equivalent in your local currency) in case you forget money or are short of change.
-
9Remember first-aid. Even if you think it's unnecessary, you never know when you'll need a band-aid or a small tube of anti-bacterial ointment.
-
10Pack musical entertainment. In case you get bored or have nothing to do have a music player of some sort so you can listen or sing along to music anytime anywhere.
-
11If you're a DIY (Do It Yourself) sort of person, have in your purse a needle and thread. This way, you can temporarily fix a ripped shirt or shorts.
-
12Keep track for a week or two of everything that you feel you need. Make a list of it, and be sure to put these items in your purse, along with some emergency items as well.

Community Q&A
-
QuestionShould I bring lip balm or lotion?Community AnswerYou should bring both if you have enough space.
-
QuestionDo I need lip balm or cream?Community AnswerYou don't absolutely need it, but you never know when your lips might get chapped, so it's a good idea to have some on hand.
-
QuestionWhy does everyone need ten dollars? Wouldn't a British person be more likely to need 10 pounds or someone in Europe need 10 euros?Community AnswerObviously yes, but this is a US-based website, so we generally go with American units by default, and it would be silly to list out every single possible currency in the article. If you're from another country, you can infer for yourself what the equivalent would be in your country.

Warnings
- Often a thief will only take a wallet from a purse. In case this happens, be sure to keep an extra 10 or 20 dollars and a form of ID somewhere in your purse other than your wallet. Also, don't keep any important receipts or paperwork in your wallet that cannot be replaced.⧼thumbs_response⧽
- If you want to pack perfume, it is a good idea to buy the lotion that comes with the set to put in your purse. This way you won't break the bottle and lose all of your perfume.⧼thumbs_response⧽
