Pen spinning, according to Wikipedia, is a form of "object manipulation" where one uses a pen, pencil, or other writing utensil and twirls it in various different ways. However, using regular pens and pencils aren't the best options for pen spinning. Most pen-spinners like to make pen mods, which are exactly what they sound like they are- modified pens that are tweaked and customized to make pen spinning easier for them. This article will teach you how to make a BICtory Pen Mod, which is a simple modification that requires equipment that can be bought virtually anywhere. The word "BICtory" is a portmanteau on "BIC" (a company which makes pens), and the word "victory." You will definitely feel victorious once you create this pen mod! There are two versions: BICtory Basic and BICtory Advanced, which uses more pens.
Steps
Making the BICtory Basic
-
1Requirements- You need two BIC® "round stic®" pens. These pens can be bought virtually anywhere, from office stores like Staples to shopping websites like Amazon. You also need a chopstick or a handy tool for removing the tip off of the pen, and a pair of scissors to cut the ink tubes. We will discuss that later in this article.[1]
-
2Take the caps off the two pens and then break the "clip" of the cap with your hand or the scissors.[2]Advertisement
-
3Take the "front part" (the tip that you write with) out of both pens. It should come off along with the ink tube.[3]
-
4Remove the plug on the top of the pen with a chopstick. You can also use your teeth to bite off the plug. (NOTE: You only need to do this with one pen.)
-
5Cut off about 7 mm off of each ink tube with scissors. This is important so the ink tubes can fit easier.[4]
-
6Now take the ink tubes and insert them into the pen with no "plug." They go in on each side. (NOTE: The tips may not exactly fit onto the pen. You might need to tape one of them in order for the tip to stay on.)[5]
-
7Take both of the pen caps and put them on.[6]
Making the BICtory Advanced
-
1Follow steps 1-4 above. You will need two BIC Ultra Round Stic pens for this mod, which is longer. Step four is optional as the end result's longer.
-
2Take the ink tubes out of the Ultra Round Stics (URSs for short). You may need to apply a bit of force.
-
3Next, follow step five, but use the URS ink tubes instead of the regular ones.
-
4Follow step six.

QuestionWill using normal flat-ended round stic pens work?Raymond BuiCommunity AnswerYep! Instead of using chopsticks, you can use wire-cutters and pinch with medium force just slightly behind the back cap.
Warnings
- If you choose to use your teeth to remove the "plug," make sure you don't swallow the plug.⧼thumbs_response⧽
