Community Q&A
-
QuestionHow do I make hot cocoa with Hershey syrup and water only?Community AnswerIt would work; it just may not be as good as milk. Heat the water and mix in the syrup.
-
QuestionI am going to have to substitute vanilla extract for whipped cream. How much do I use?Community AnswerUse only one or two drops, depending on how much hot chocolate you're making. Vanilla extract is stronger than some might think, so don't use too much of it.
-
QuestionHow much powdered sugar should I use if I want to replace the whipped cream?Community AnswerStart with one tablespoon and add a second if you want. Whipped cream just makes it thicker and creamier.

Warnings
- Make sure milk is not scalded. It is recommended to heat to 180 degrees but a good rule of thumb is to think of heating milk for a baby and then adjust for those who request HOT.⧼thumbs_response⧽
