There is no real way to "delete" your Fanfiction account, but getting rid of it will make it virtually impossible to find. Whether you don't want your boss seeing your Sherlock smut, or you're tired of bad reviews, this article is for you.
Steps
-
1Delete all your stories, bookmarked/saved stories, and favorite authors. Unfortunately, you will not be able to delete your comments, so these will stay with your account.
-
2Change your username and profile photo to something random. Using an obscene picture for your profile picture will get your account banned, but this is not a mature way of disassociating the account from you.Advertisement
-
3Change your account email to a disposable email address. Once it expires (which is usually minutes to hours later), you won't be able to log in.
-
4Use a random password generator to change your password to something you'll never remember. Once you do this, there is no going back.
-
5Log out of your account. Be sure to disable password savers for this website so it does not remember the password.

Community Q&A
-
QuestionIf I change everything on the account, will people who read my stories and commented be able to know it's me?Community AnswerIf they have already read and commented your stories before, there is a chance that they will know who you are. You probably shouldn't worry about that, because if you change your password, and never log back in, you already have deactivated, in a way.
-
QuestionWhat is a "disposable email address"?Community AnswerA disposable email address is just a random email address that you use to register for things or buy things without giving away your real email.
-
QuestionIf I have tried to PM someone who has changed their fanfiction name, will my email still arrive?Community AnswerIf it's just their username, your PM will most definitely arrive. If the person disabled their option of getting PMs, the PM won't come through.
