Muffin pans are easy to fill following this suggested method.
Steps
-
1Make the batter following the instructions in your recipe.
-
2Get two spoons of the same size. Teaspoons, dessert spoons, or soup spoons are all fine.Advertisement
-
3Scoop up the batter using the first spoon.
-
4Use the back of the other spoon to push the batter off the first spoon and into the muffin pan.
-
5Be sure to not completely fill the holes. When the muffin rises, it will overflow and burn.
-
6Repeat until all holes are filled. The benefit of this method is that it aids maintaining a round shape.
-
7Finished.

QuestionWhat changes do I have to make to a banana bread/muffin recipe if I want to add a real banana? Should I cream it with the butter, or jut layer some banana in the bottom of the muffin cups?Community AnswerTo add real banana, mash 1 1/2 really ripe bananas and fold them into the batter. This ratio is good for a plain muffin recipe that yields 12-15 muffins.

QuestionIf I add an additional egg yoke to muffin batter will it make it moister?MrExpertCommunity AnswerA little, but not really. It won't do any harm, though.

QuestionHow do you fill the pan if your recipe calls for filling each muffin cup with two batters, side by side?Community AnswerIt's helpful to prop up one end of the pan, so that the pan is resting at an angle instead of flat. Use a tablespoon to carefully fill half of the cup with the first batter. Then fill in the other side of the cup with the other batter. Keep the pan propped at an angle until you put it into the oven.
