Although public pride festivities have been canceled owing to the COVID-19 epidemic, this does not mean that the LGBTQ community can't or shouldn't celebrate! There's lots to know about the history of pride and LGBTQ equality. Here's the basics of pride month history--you can expand your knowledge later: Pride Month remembers the Stonewall Riots of June 1969. The Stonewall Riots began on June 28, 1969, when LGBTQ+ patrons of New York City's Stonewall Inn opposed police raids on their establishment.^{[1]

There are many different ways to create pride art. This is a fun way to celebrate pride month as a kid or teen, but anyone of any age can create pride art.
