Ready to take your DoorDash driving to the next level? Becoming a Top Dasher is a great way to prove just how good you are at your job (and get some sweet benefits, too). If you want to learn more about this program and who’s qualified, we’ve got you covered: we’ll share everything you need to know about becoming a Top Dasher so you can decide if you want to try and become one.

Things You Should Know

Earn a customer rating of 4.7 and maintain an acceptance rate of 70% or higher.
Get a completion rate of 95% or above, and complete at least 100 orders in the last month.
If you meet these requirements on the last day of the month, you’ll become a Top Dasher for the next month.
When you become a Top Dasher, you can use “Dash Now” anytime you want.

Top Dasher Requirements

Customer rating of 4.7 or above Top Dashers must have a high customer rating, and a 4.7 is the minimum you can get to become a Top Dasher.^{[1]

100 completed deliveries during the last month DoorDash rewards drivers who work a lot, and the Top Dasher program rewards them even more. If you’ve done at least 100 deliveries within the past 30 days, you can qualify for the Top Dasher program.^{[4]

How does the program work?

Meet the requirements by the end of the month to be a Top Dasher next month. Top Dasher points are awarded on the second day of each month. If you meet the requirements at 11:59 PM on the last day of the month, you’ll have Top Dasher status for the next month.^{[6]

- To re-qualify for the program, simply meet the requirements again next month.

Top Dasher Benefits

Use “Dash Now” anytime you want. Regular DoorDashers will continue to have to schedule their time on the road. As a Top Dasher, you can “Dash Now” at any time, even when it’s not busy. This means that anytime you’re ready to hit the road, you can simply use the “Dash Now” button to get started. Usually, the “Dash Now” button is only available when DoorDash is very busy.^{[7]

- DoorDash still recommends scheduling your time to avoid too many Dashers on the road at once, but that’s up to you.
- Becoming a Top Dasher may also give you slight priority over other Dashers when it comes to assigning orders. However, that’s not a noted perk on the DoorDash website.

Is it worth it to become a Top Dasher?

If “Dash Now” is a useful feature for you, then yes, it’s worth it. Since the “Dash Now” perk is the only real benefit of becoming a Top Dasher, if you like “Dash Now,” then it’s a worthy goal. However, if you prefer to schedule your drive time anyway, it might not be for you.
- Some people find that the requirements for Top Dasher are too strict and hard to attain. For instance, declining a $3 order with no tip will count against your acceptance rate, potentially lowering your score.
