Why I left the community

Short version

This community sucks.

Long version

This is not the first time I want to leave, though.

This community is (hopefully, when you see this profile, it should be 'was') becoming a playful yard of the admin through their tyrannical judge of your questions.

Questions, like Why are most swear words in anime irrelevant to genitals?, What is the origin of the child don't look scene?, which can shed light on anime and provide an insightful view are badly unwelcomed and easily closed, maybe commented that they are off-topic or that they are questions about culture(s), while some other questions of the same nature, like Why there are many scenes in anime that take place on the roof?, Why are there red strings around the MCs' body parts in some anime?, are not.

Anime are not in a vacuum, they are produced by humans for human targets, so they are inevitably culture relevant. Most questions about anime boil down to culture, say, What is this huge symbol on the door in the Truth realm and in the Neon Genesis Evangelion opening? is a question about something related to culture. Even if you can't understand the symbol, it does not hold you back from understanding the plot. Yet, this question is not closed, what a sarcasm!

The admins judge your questions per whether they, themselves, find the questions interesting rather than what an anime audience would like to know about.

There are also other ridiculous parts of the community, but they are kind of personal point of view and not the main reason for my left, so I'm not writing them down.

I gradually get to know why people are leaving this community during my staying here.
