"Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei" is a satire manga written by Kōji Kumeta. It has several anime TV series and OVAs directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and produced by Studio SHAFT. The main character is a teacher, Nozomu Itoshiki, who sees everything from the most pessimistic point of view possible. He teaches a class of 32 students with widely varying personalities.
