"Rave Master (or just "Rave") is a manga series by Hiro Mashima. The story revolves around magical stones called Rave and its dark counterparts, Dark Bring. The adventure begins as Haru Glory caught Plue during his fishing. This encounter later brings him to become the next Rave Master. As the Rave Master, Haru must travel the world to collect all Rave stones while also stop the Dark Bring Master from destroying the world.

Rave Master (titled Rave in Japan) is a manga and anime series written by Hiro Mashima (who also write Fairy Tail). Rave Master was published by Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine from 1999 to 2005.

What exactly is the yellow thing that plue has?

In this picture off Plue from the Rave Master wiki, it's stated to be a horn/nose. But what exactly is that yellow thing? Is it a nose or a horn? If it's nose, can Plue smell with that?
