Future Diary (or, "Mirai Nikki") is a psychological thriller manga by Sakae Esuno and anime by Asread. One day an introvert student's cellphone, that he uses as his diary, starts predicting future. Soon he finds out he's not the only one with such a diary, and a great battle between diary owners begins.
Future Diary (未来日記 Mirai Nikki) is a manga series written and illustrated by Sakae Esuno (ja). The manga was serialized between January 2006 and December 2010. A 26-episode anime series produced by Asread aired in Japan between October 2011 and April 2012. It has an 11-episode live-action television drama aired between April and June 2012.
The story tells about Yukiteru Amano, a loner who spends most of his time writing a diary on his cell phone. One day, Yuki got a special diary that can predict the future from his imaginary friends Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space, and forces Yuki to participate in a battle royal with eleven other people, each of whom also has a diary that can predict the future. The contestants have 90 days to find and kill all the other contestants, and only the last one standing can become the new God of Time and Space.
