Mawaru Penguindrum (or simply Penguindrum) is an original TV anime series directed and written by Kunihiko Ikuhara and produced by Brain's Base about Himari Takakura - a terminally ill girl who was saved by a mysterious penguin hat - and her two brothers, Kanba and Shouma.

The anime consists of 24 episodes, and started airing on July 8, 2011 and ran until December 23, 2011.
