Genshiken is a manga series by Shimoku Kio about a college club for otakus and their otaku-centric lifestyles. It has been adapted to several seasons of anime. This tag also includes the related series Genshiken: Nidaime.

The title of the show is a shortening of the club's name: Gendai Shikaku Bunka Kenkyuukai (現代視覚文化研究会) which translates to "The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture".

The stories mainly consist of humorous references to other manga/anime/video games and many other aspects of the otaku culture.

In Genshiken Nidaime, episode 6, Kuchiki Manabu got some flak for being useless, and Kabincho! was his reaction (10:41). Is this just more of his nonsensical outbursts or is this a reference to something?
