Gate: Jieitai Kano Chi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri is a novel series written by Takumi Yanai with two anime series adaptation aired on July 2015 and January 2016 by A-1 Pictures

Youji Itami is a Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) officer and otaku who just work to support his hobby. When he's on his way to attend a doujin convention in Ginza, a portal gate suddenly appears and unleashing dragon, monsters, medieval knights and other creatures and wreak havoc on Tokyo. Later, Youji as a JSDF officer and his team sent to investigate the other world beyond the gate.
