The other 6 main characters have character types, but Itsuki doesn't?

Nakano siblings

  1. Ichika - onee-san, ara ara
  2. Nino - tsundere
  3. Miku - kuudere, dandere
  4. Yotsuba - genki
  5. Itsuki - ?

Uesugi siblings

  1. Fuutarou - studious / nerd, particularly someone who is poor like Miyuki Shirogane from Kaguya-sama
  2. Raiha - genki, imouto / mature younger sibling (much like Kei Shirogane from Kaguya-sama except tsundere not genki)

I find this kinda odd.

Especially considering the English title is 'The Quintessential Quintuplets'. So eg Yotsuba is the 'quintessential' genki. Itsuki is the quintessential what? (I know the Japanese title Gotoubun no Hanayome means 5 equal brides. Don't make an issue of this paragraph.)

Some ideas:

  1. According to the 1st min of this video Itsuki Nakano | The Curse of the First Girl - The Quintessential Quintuplets, Itsuki doesn't really have a character type except possibly 'soft tsundere'. Not so familiar with anime in general. Maybe there's a 'dere' I don't know.

  2. The 'smart' one - Can't be because that's Miku, at least according to Yotsuba in S01E01

  3. The responsible one / the 'mom' - Itsuki was seemingly doing their administrative work in s1. But I'm not sure about this because Ichika I think is the more responsible one / the 'mom' of the quints esp in s2

where Ichika was paying their finances when they decided to leave home and refuse their dad's money.

Or well Ichika can be the 'dad' while Itsuki is the 'mom'.

  1. Tsundere - so just a repeat of Nino?

  2. The studious one - Yotsuba does say this about Itsuki in S01E01. In S01E06, Ichika does say Itsuki and Fuutarou are very much alike. Itsuki does

s3/movie spoiler

end up a sensei.

But since all 5 quints needed tutoring until graduation and Itsuki hasn't highest scores or much higher scores than the rest of the quints, I don't see this as relevant.

  1. Itsuki is an Eat-suki - It's a recurring gag, but I don't really see this as having anything to do with Itsuki's personality.

  2. Keigo / the super polite one - The 1 thing that maybe could be relevant is that Itsuki speaks keigo to all the other 6 main characters (and I think everyone else in the series) including Fuutarou in the same year, the 4 older quints who are only 1 day older than Itsuki and Raiha who is much much younger. (Then again in Kaguya-sama, Kaguya does use keigo even to Moeha Fujiwara. But Kaguya doesn't use keigo to everyone. And I didn't really notice before, but I have a feeling in Spy x Family Yor speaks keigo to Anya. I wouldn't be surprised if Yor speaks keigo to Yuri, Loid and everyone else really.) So what's the name for this type - super polite even for a Japanese?
