Which episodes of Detective Conan are canonical to the manga?

After watching the first ~20 episodes, I get the feeling that there are quite a lot of non-canon material so far.

For me this answer is gold, but is not what the question is asking, since "canonical to the manga" is not "essential [...] in the storyline". I was looking for your answer though – Eloi Navarro Jan 03 '18 at 11:10
