"YuruYuri - Happy Go Lily" is a manga series by Namori. The story follows the antics of the three childhood friends, Toshinou Kyouko, Funami Yui, and Akaza Akari, and their fellow club member Yoshikawa Chinatsu as they spend time doing various amusing things joined by their schoolmates in a happy-go-lucky mood.
YuruYuri (ゆるゆり, lit. Easygoing Yuri) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Namori, first serialized in June 2008 in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime S before moving to Comic Yuri Hime in September 2010.
The series takes place in Nanamori Middle School in Takaoka, Toyama and follows Akari Akaza, her childhood friends, Kyōko Toshinō and Yui Funami, and her classmate, Chinatsu Yoshikawa who form the Amusement Club along with the school's Student Council which the girls in the Amusement Club often interact with.
An anime adaptation produced by Dogakobo under the direction of Masahiko Ohta aired in Japan in July 2011 while a second series aired a year later. Both series were simulcast by Crunchyroll and later licensed by Nippon Ichi Software America (NISA) for Blu-ray Disc in September 2013 (Season 1) and January 2014 (Season 2).
